The Napster

I've got a bit of a secret I want to spill.  Okay, maybe it's not a secret so much, but a guilty pleasure born out of necessity.

I'm a napper.

Ever since we've been dealing with the impending move to the Netherlands my internal alarm clock has become discombobulated and I no longer sleep in till 9:00 or 10:00 am which is my preferred wake up time.  Nope, I'm now up at the crack ass of dawn.  7:30 a.m. seems to be the latest I sleep in and often I find myself wide awake at 6:30, 6:00 and on really bad days at 5:30.  Eyes wide open and a million things running through my head.

It's not the worst side effect of moving, but it's changed my daily routine.  I still need about 12 hours of sleep a day, so to compensate I nap, and nap hard.  Come 3:00 pm I see Wasabi all stretched out on the bed and say "That looks pretty good right now.  Scoot over pup."

This picture had to be staged, given Wasabi's general inclination to sleep on the end of the bed.

So there we are.  Nothing much.  Probably more disturbing, than earth shattering or interesting but this is where my mind is these days.  Happy napping, it's nice work when you can get it!
